TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was all praise for his former MLA Chinthamaneni Prabhakar from Denduluru in West Godavari district.
Chinthamaneni is in the jail as 90 cases, including SC, ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 cases, were filed against him.
Chandrababu Naidu, who completed his three-day interaction with the party leaders in Krishna district, spoke to the media where he said leaders who are targeted by this government were becoming mass leaders now.
He said some leaders were surrendering to the government but those who are not surrendering were becoming the mass leaders.
“This government is targeting opposition party leaders and the media. We will face it. There is no going back,” Chandrababu Naidu said.
He expressed sorry for Gannavaram TDP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan’s resignation to the party due to alleged harassment by the government.
At the same time, Naidu had praise for Chinthamaneni Prabhakar, who dared the government and facing the cases.
“What did Chinthamaneni do? Did he kill anyone? Did he raped anyone? Why so many cases were filed against him?” Naidu asked and asserted that Chinthamaneni had now become a mass leader.
“There would be more such mass leaders challenging this government” he further said.
Interestingly, an hour before Naidu made this statement, Lokesh had met Chinthamaneni in the jail and extended support to the former MLA.
