All these days, the TDP leaders have been deriving vicarious pleasure by referring to Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as A-1 (accused no. 1) in connection with the alleged quid pro quo case against him being probed by the CBI.
Similarly, they have been calling YSRC general secretary and MP V Vijay Sai Reddy as A-2 (accused no. 2) in the same case.
Now, the time has come for the YSRC leaders to take a revenge against the TDP leaders, since their boss and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been named as A-1 by the Andhra Pradesh CID police in the sensational Amaravati land scam.
In the FIR registered by the CID police on Friday, Naidu has been named as Accused No. 1 (A-1), whereas his former cabinet colleague P Narayana has been made A-2.
In the notice served on Naidu, too, CID deputy superintendent of police A Lakshminarayana Rao referred to him as A-1. Interestingly, they did not even refer to him as TDP president or former chief minister, but only as a member of legislative assembly from Kuppam assembly constituency, with residential address at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
He said the notice was being served “for the effective and better investigation deem it fit and necessary to examine you (A1) in the above crime, to ascertain facts which are within your exclusive knowledge.”
Naidu was asked to appear in person before the CID official at 11 am on March 23 at the CID regional office in Vijayawada.
The CID asked him to co-operate for investigation by appearing before the official as and when required by producing the evidences if any in your custody or knowledge for effective and proper investigation and for arriving logical conclusions.
The former chief minister was asked not to interfere with the process of investigation either directly or indirectly and not to contact or come in to contact or influence or intimidate or induce or threat the witness or any other persons acquainted with the facts of the case.
Naidu was also asked not to tamper or disappear the evidences in any manner whatsoever and to appear before the Hon'ble Jurisdictional court whenever his presence is required.
“Any other condition which may be imposed by the investigating officer should be followed,” the notice said, adding that failure to attend comply with the terms of the notice, Naidu would be liable for arrest under section 41 A (3) and (4) of Cr PC.
