Chandrababu Naidu’s real reason for visiting Delhi was to get back in the good books of the NDA. But what’s surprising is that he more or less admitted the same to the media.
TDP is facing its biggest existential crisis in the form of Jagan Reddy and its party cadre believe that it’s only a matter of time before Chandrababu and Lokesh are arrested too.
Therefore, Chandrababu realised that unless the Centre lends it a favourable ear, things could get uglier in future for the men in yellow.
Speaking to the media in Delhi, Chandrababu said that he had quit the NDA only for the interests of Andhra Pradesh and that there were no major ideological differences with the BJP.
He added that after the split with the NDA, he had lost two elections which indicated that the people of Andhra wanted him to continue with NDA.
But the most important aspect of Chandrababu’s interaction was when he said that he was open to getting back to the NDA fold failing which his Party would be exploited (Read Jagan &Co).
To summarise, CBN wanted to become part of NDA again to save himself and party from Jagan but the NDA is in no mood to listen to him because of simple statistics.
YSRCP has no enmity with the NDA and going by numbers in the Parliament, the TDP is of no serious help to the NDA. Therefore, no appointment. Period!
