Fact Sheet: AP Govt Unavailable And Inaccessible

Amaravathi: Is there anyone who is available to the media for any clarification or information required by the media?

The answer is a big no.

There is a big debate and media coverage over the faulty financial position in the state government.

There is a finance minister and there is finance secretary, who can respond to the calls and give clarification or clear information on the allegations or the actual position.

Except to give a rejoinder to Eenadu report, not a single minister or senior officer is available for the media to give information.

A journalist from a national media made several attempts to reach the finance minister and the finance secretary in vain.

Despite the media extensively campaigning that the government had failed and there is financial emergency in the offing, the government is surprisingly maintaining distance from the media.

The government did not even respond to the campaign that the Central government and CAG taking serious note of the AP’s financial situation and sought clarification.

Even the financial advisor to the chief minister, Duvvuri Krishna, who is in the CMO as special secretary, vanished from the scene after his press conference to give a rejoinder to the Eenadu report.

Ironically, the availability and accessibility of the ministers and the senior officers is missing in the government, even when it is required.

Surprisingly, the media advisors and the PROs, who are expected to be available to the media have become unproductive.

They are now limited their work to just dispatching the press releases from the CMO and the ministers.
