Fact Check: Nara Bhuvaneshwari's Vulgar Audio

An audio featuring vulgar language and cusswords in country style, attributed to Nara Bhuvaneshwari, has been circulating on the internet for the past day, causing a stir.

Prior to her entry into the political arena, Bhuvaneshwari's voice was unknown to public. But she came out prominently for the first time when addressing the arrest of Chandrababu. Her distinctive speaking style earned her popularity, and many Telugu people readily recognize her voice.

Given that the voice in the audio clearly resembles hers, many are inclined to believe it is indeed hers. However, in this age of advanced technology like AI, skepticism about authenticity, dismissing it as deep fake, is prevalent. Nara Lokesh expressed similar doubts.

In a message directed at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Lokesh tweeted, "How can someone who comments on his sister's saree, overlook my mother? How long will you persist with these fabricated edits, Jagan!?"

Ram Gopal Varma responded to Lokesh, suggesting that AI or mimicry can imitate a voice pattern but not genuine emotion. He urged Lokesh to listen to the heartfelt emotion in the audio and proposed filing a case to investigate and prove its authenticity, drawing parallels to Lord Sriram's actions to prove Sita’s innocence.

Varma's endorsement further solidified the belief among those who had doubts that the audio is authentic, dismissing the possibility of AI involvement.

While some speculate that Bhuvaneshwari may have been addressing a Heritage worker in the audio, many believe it is related to politics, especially given references to her elder sister (Purandeshwari) who has political connections but is not associated with the Heritage business.

Despite the lack of concrete evidence confirming the audio as deep fake, a significant portion of the population, particularly Dalits and OBCs, believe it to be genuine and are expressing their anger both online and offline.

Some are drawing parallels to past statements made by Balakrishna and Chandrababu, highlighting the Nara-Nandamuri family's alleged racist ideologies and casteist opinions.

It is known that Balakrishna said once, "our blood and breed are different".

Chandrababu in a different occasion said, "Nobody wishes to take birth in an SC family, but wish to born in higher castes to rule".

Many are connecting dots to Bhuvaneshwari's alleged audio with the above statements of her brother and husband, thereby establishing what flows in their family.

This audio poses a significant threat to the electoral prospects of the TDP-Alliance. It remains to be seen how the TDP leadership will address the situation and whether Bhuvaneshwari will step forward to refute the claims of authenticity.
