Economist Accused In Cheating Case Analysed AP Economy

Etv and Eenadu conducted an interview with a noted economist named Dr. G V Rao, who expressed concern over the finances of the state of Andhra Pradesh. He even cautioned people not to vote for a party that had ruined the state economy.

The Eenadu Group, headed by Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, has been waging a war against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government and spreading false reports to defame Jagan and benefit Chandrababu Naidu.

As part of this mission, Ramoji Rao organized an interview on Etv, which was also prominently published in his Eenadu daily recently.

However, social media users who saw the interview started searching for the economist, Dr. G V Rao, and found some surprising facts about him.

Ganta Venkateswara Rao, who hails from the Godavari districts and is now settled in Hyderabad, is a chartered accountant.

However, he was suspended for two years by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the highest body for CAs in the country. In March 2022, the ICAI also imposed a penalty of Rs 50,000 on him for alleged irregularities in his practice.

Furthermore, he is involved in several court cases related to house sites in Hyderabad and Venkatapuram village of Rajanagaram mandal in East Godavari district (20699 OF 2020).

He is also facing a cheating case (CC No. 1572 of 2009) in XIV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, L B Nagar, filed by an advocate Chilakapati Madhu Babu.

He is accused of giving a cheque of Rs 40,000 to the advocate, which later bounced, and the matter went to court.

Within less than 24 hours, social media activists had dug up his history and exposed him and his intellect as unreliable.

Ramoji Rao, who is facing charges of financial mismanagement in the Margadarsi Chit Fund Private Limited, brought in another 'economist' who is accused in a cheating case and whose ICAI membership was suspended!
