If any YSR Congress party leader is of the view that he would get into the good books of party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for abusing his political rivals, especially Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, in foul language, he or she should think twice before doing so.
Jagan might be a bitter critic of Naidu and hell-bent on decimating the TDP from the state political arena, but he never indulges in using foul language against the rival leader.
It is against his culture and he knows that such comments would only project him and the YSRC in a bad light.
Even in the past, when party leaders like R K Roja or Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy used unparliamentary language against Naidu, he reprimanded them and asked them to keep away from the media.
The latest to incur the wrath of Jagan is YSRC legislator from Kakinada city Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy.
He is all set to pay heavy price for his hurling vulgar abuses at Naidu and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan at a rally in Kakinada last week.
During the rally, Dwarampudi said he felt like calling Naidu “La… Koduka” (b…rd) and “Vedhava Kaanaa” (Stupid fellow).” He went on to say: “That old jackal should not get up again.”
On Pawan Kalyan, too, Dwarampudi said the power star was a package star. “Pawan Kalyan is a Donga Na Koduku (a big thief) and he only does “Lanja panulu” (deeds of a prostitute),” he said.
The YSRC MLA came under sharp criticism from not only the TDP and Jana Sena leaders, but also his own party leaders.
What is worse, he made his followers assault the Jana Sena workers who attempted to stage demonstrations at his residence in Kakinada.
According to highly placed sources in the party, Jagan called Dwarampudi and pulled him up for abusing the rivals in foul language.
“It shows your bad culture and will damage the reputation of the party,” Jagan is learnt to have told him.
Sources said the YSRC chief decided not to give any post to Dwarampudi in the present government and might not be given the party ticket to contest any election in future.
May be, Dwarampudi will have some life in the party if he tenders open apology to Naidu and Pawan.
