Ever since she was appointed as chairperson of MANSAS (Maharaja Alak Narayan Society of Arts and Science) Trust and Simhachalam temple trust board chairperson, Sanchaita Gajapathi Raju has been facing attacks from all sides, particularly the TDP.
Sanchaita is the daughter of Pusapati Ananda Gajapathi Raju, brother of former Union minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju who was till recently the chairman of both the trusts.
While she has been successfully countering the criticism from the TDP in effective manner, what angered Sanchaita was a comment from Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan at a recent press conference describing her as a non-Hindu.
On Thursday, Sanchaita wrote a strongly worded letter to Pawan Kalyan and shared it on her Facebook page.
Taking exception to Pawan’s comment that MANSAS Trust is headed by a non-Hindu, she said: “Dear Pawan Kalyan garu, may I draw your kind attention to the fact that I, the current chairperson, am the eldest surviving daughter of Ananda Gajapathi Raju & Uma Gajapati Raju, both Hindus.”
She said her mother had remarried Ramesh Sharma, belonging to a family of Hindu purohits.
“He is himself a 6-time national award winning and Emmy nominated filmmaker. Please do not fall prey to Fake News being spread by the TDP,” she warned.
Sanchaita said the TDP was running scared “because their skeletons will tumble out once the forensic audit of their acts of commission & omission in Mansas and Simhachalam Devasthanam are exposed.”
Stating that she was a practising Hindu, Sanchaita said she would respect all religions.
“I am certain, so do you. Kindly issue a correction so that this lie spread by Nara Chandrababu Naidu garu and his cronies is put to rest immediately. Since you are a gentleman, that is the least I expect from you,” the Raju legal heir said.
