Son-in-Law of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sri Bharath has successfully managed to get the TDP MP ticket from Vizag.
Apparently, Sri Bharath will be shelling out Rs 5 crore to each of the MLA candidates in his Lok Sabha constituency.
The party is reportedly not in favor of Sri Bharath. Although he is the grandson of MVVS Murthy and Chairman of Gitam University, Chandrababu Naidu is also said to be worried about giving the ticket to him as Sri Bharath may turn out to be a threat to Nara Lokesh in future.
A similar struggle between Chandrababu Naidu and Daggubati Venkateswar Rao saw Naidu gain the upper hand in the past.
Party sources say that Chandrababu initially refused to give the ticket to Sri Bharath but acquiesced after the local MLA candidates led by Ganta Srinivasa Rao lobbied for Sri Bharath.
At Rs 5 crore per head, why wouldn’t they?
