Did Parakala rap Naidu in his Amaravati docufilm?

The latest documentary made by former advisor to Andhra Pradesh government Parakala Prabhakar on the plight of Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, was initially believed to be sponsored by the Telugu Desam Party.

The documentary film -- Rajadhani Vishadam-Amaravati (A tragedy of capital called Amaravati), which was released a few days ago, is now on YouTube, attracting good number of viewers.

The documentary film, no doubt, is in support of the location of the capital city at Amaravati and against the formation of three capitals.

It contains brief interviews with various leaders in support of Amaravati and also has comments from experts from South Africa to prove that the three-capitals plan based on South African model is a failed model.

However, Parakala has taken enough care to see that he is not echoing the ideas of Chandrababu Naidu.

At many places, the documentary, in fact, takes a dig at Naidu for his hasty decisions such as acquiring such a vast extent of fertile land for the capital, inordinate delay in finalising designs etc.

In fact, Paraka has even taken a subtle dig at the TDP chief for moving to Amaravati from Hyderabad so hurriedly.

He even showed the clippings of cash-for-vote scandal involving Revanth Reddy and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s statements that he had driven away Naidu to Vijayawada after the scandal.

He also incorporated statements of former chief secretary IYR Krishna Rao who made critical comments against Naidu and also those of a few YSR Congress leaders like Ambati Rambabu.

In a way, Parakala tried to project a neutral picture of the whole scenario, while defending the choice of Amaravati as the state capital.
