Some people refuse to mend their ways and mind their language, despite receiving setbacks. They try to put up aggressive posture and launch a counter attack on critics, only to cover up their frustration and disillusionment.
The classic example for such people is former minister and YSR Congress party leader Kodali Venkateshwar Rao alias Nani, who represented Gudivada assembly constituency in Krishna district.
When the party was in power, Nani used to foul-mouth his opponents, especially Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, with abusive language, which led to some kind of hatred in the people.
After he lost the recent assembly elections in the hands of TDP candidate Venigandla Ramu in Gudivada, Nani went into a shell for a few days, but he is now back with his old style.
It appears he has refused to change himself and chosen to use the same kind of abusive language against the TDP leaders.
On Thursday, Nani came to Tadepalli to attend the meeting convened by party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to media there, Nani said Chandrababu Naidu had won through cheating and deceit with the help of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“Chandrababu cannot implement his pre-election promises. He should explain when he is going to give Rs 15000 to each woman and unemployment allowance to 20 lakh youth,” he demanded. “He is trying to divert the people’s attention from his failure to implement promises by touring places like Polavaram, Amaravati,” he criticised.
On Rushikonda palace issue, Nani said it was not meant for Jagan’s residence.
“Jagan has no necessity to stay in government buildings. He has the capacity to construct his own bungalow in Visakhapatnam and stay there right royally,” he said.
The YSRCP leader also found fault with the TDP leaders criticising Jagan for still using the official furniture in his Tadepalli camp office. “Who wants this “mushti” (cheap) furniture? Let the TDP government take it away or we shall pay for the same. Jagan has not committed any theft like former speaker in the TDP regime, who took away the official and kept it in the automobile showroom,” he said.
