Despite Covid 19, AP Records Growth In Exports

The Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh had been at the receiving end in the last two years for not focusing on development.

The critics have been targeting the government for its welfare initiatives, as the government goes by its election promises that were compiled as Navarathnalu.

The critics have conveniently ignored the re-haul of schools, hostels and hospitals through Nadu-Nedu programme.

They have also ignored the Village Secretariats, Village Clinics, Raithu Bharosa Kendras, which have already come and the godowns that are in the pipeline.

However, now, the government had recorded considerable growth in the exports during the year, despite covid 19.

The state, according to the available information, recorded 2.76 per cent growth in exports in 2020-21 when compared to 2019-2020.

The exports are mostly in rice, iron, gold, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automobile sector, which have seen considerable growth.

The growth in these products was somewhat significant as the state was initially projected to have only the marine source for export revenue.

After bifurcation of the state, sea foods were believed as only source of exports. However, the Jagan Mohan Reddy dispensation had proved that the exports in other sector too could be positive.

Its time Jagan Mohan Reddy’s critics should know what this government is doing silently and this is one.
