Party workers are spreading the word that Dr. Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, the husband of BJP President Purandeshwari, is making all the decisions regarding party tickets on behalf of BJP.
All the leaders are lining up at his house. CM Ramesh, Raghuramaraju, Kapu Ramachandra Reddy, and others have all visited and spoken to him.
Finally, Madhav, the senior BJP leader also appears to be depending on Daggubati's favor.
It seems CM Ramesh was able to secure the Anakapalli seat from the Daggubati couple, but Sujana Chaudhary did not meet their aspirations.
Party sources suggest that any leaders who are not in good books of this couple are being denied tickets. It is also rumored that both are playing politics with Raghuramaraju.
Many in the state BJP are baffled as to how the Delhi BJP leaders fell for this Daggubati net.
