Slain former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Dr Narreddy Sunitha on Tuesday made her intentions clear – that she wants to see the defeat of YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in his own turn Pulivendula in the coming assembly elections.
Addressing the media persons at Kadapa, Sunitha said she would go all out to ensure that the YSRCP doesn’t come to power in Andhra Pradesh again.
“My objective is to see that Y S Avinash Reddy will be defeated in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency; and if possible, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in Pulivendula assembly constituency,” she declared.
Stating that the people of Kadapa are fully aware who had murdered Vivekananda Reddy, Sunitha said the voters were intelligent and they would not get hoodwinked again and again.
“You cannot fool all the people all the time,” she said.
Referring to Jagan’s statement that the people of Kadapa were aware of how Vivekananda Reddy was killed, she wondered if Jagan was also aware of what had happened, why was he afraid of the CBI inquiry.
“The time has come for Jagan and his supporters to answer my questions. I am ready for any public debate, wherever Jagan wants. Even if I am asked to come to Sakshi channel, I shall come,” she said.
Sunitha expressed happiness over the decision of Jagan’s sister and Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Y S Shamila to contest from Kadapa parliamentary constituency.
“In fact, my father, too, wanted Sharmila to become an MP from Kadapa,” she said.
Stating that Sharmila had struggled a lot in sustaining the YSRCP when Jagan was in jail, Sunitha alleged that after coming out of the jail, Jagan had kept her away from politics.
“Maybe, my father was murdered because he wanted Sharmila to become the Kadapa MP,” Sunitha said.
