In a pleasant surprise to the Telugu Desam Party-led National Democratic Alliance government in Andhra Pradesh, former minister and Congress Working Committee member N Raghuveera Reddy showered praises on chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu, who visited Madakasira on Thursday to take part in the pension distribution programme at Gundumala village, attracted the attention of Raghuveera Reddy, who hails from Madakasira.
In a statement on Friday, Raghuveera said it was heartening to note that the chief minister had chosen Madakasira for the programme, as it had been a neglected constituency.
“What impressed me was the way the programme was organised in a simple manner, without the party or the government forcibly mobilising crowds to his meeting. I wish every other programme of the government should be conducted ina similar manner,” he said.
The CWC member also lauded Naidu for giving a categorical assurance on the fulfilment of long-pending issues of farmers, irrigation and drinking water supply and housing for weaker sections in Madakasira constituency.
“As a local resident of Madakasira, I appreciate the assurances given by Naidu. I pray the god to give him and his NDA government all the resources to fulfil the promises given to Madakasira,” he said.
