The Congress party is on the verge of a virtual collapse at the national level as is evident from the latest developments in the party ahead of its working committee meeting.
“As expected, the Congress party is on the verge of an implosion. The Bharatiya Janata Party stands vindicated on its accusation that the Congress party is an undemocratic formation and has been in the iron grip of Nehru family dynasts since inception,” BJP official spokesman of Telangana K Krishna Sagar Rao said.
Around 23 senior leaders of Congress inclusive of its CWC members, floor leaders, former CM's, sitting MP's have written to Sonia Gandhi to reform the party from top to toe. It's an open call for a shake-up of Congress party.
“The letter by senior Congress leaders is actually a veiled attack on the current leadership, and a clear demand for the resignation of Sonia Gandhi. Recent statement by Priyanka Vadra that the President of Congress should be outside the family, is the direct effect of this letter,” Rao said.
He said the BJP strongly believed that the game was over for the Congress as a national alternative. The party has lost organizational strength with no acceptable and competent leadership at the helm for almost a decade.
“The Congress cannot blame anyone else, than its own organizational construct for its downfall,” the BJP spokesman said.
