Chittoor Cops Say No To Naidu's Tour

Chittoor Cops Say No To Naidu's Tour

The Chittoor district police have issued a notice to the TDP leaders refusing permission for the party to hold roadshow and public meetings by party chief and local MLA N Chandrababu Naidu.

The police said that the TDP leaders did not reply to them indicating the route map and venue for the public meeting as per the new GO issued by the government on road shows and meetings on the roads.

The police have issued a notice to the TDP leaders asking them to apply for permission with specific venues for their meetings as per the new GO.

However, the TDP leaders did not respond to the notice, following the cops to issue another notice on Wednesday morning informing them of the refusal to holding meetings.

The police further said that they would hold the leaders responsible under Unlawful Assembly and would take action accordingly.

The TDP leaders have refused to comply with the new GO and said that they would go ahead with their original schedule where Naidu would tour in the constituency for three days.

It is now to be seen if Naidu would comply with the rule or defy. If he defies the rule, it is to be seen what action the police would take!
