Chandrababu Naidu Leaves For Amaravati, At Last!

TDP president and former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, who had been cooling his heels at his posh Jubilee Hills bungalow along with his son Nara Lokesh, all these days, is now forced to leave for his Amaravati residence.

Reason: Naidu seems to have realised that he cannot continue to operate from Hyderabad, as his party leaders and cadre have been under tremendous pressure with the YSR Congress government unleashing a reign of terror on them and arresting key leaders.

Naidu left for Amaravati in the afternoon and would be reaching Amaravati by 4 pm.

He would call on his party MLA and former minister K Atchen Naidu, who has been arrested in connection with the multi-crore Employees’ State Insurance scam and was admitted to the government hospital in Guntur after being remanded to 14-day judicial custody.

He applied for permission to see Atchen Naidu in the hospital. At the same, he also sought permission from Vijayawada jail superintendent and director general of prisons department.

Meanwhile, Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, too, has left for Anantapur, where he would call on the family members of former MLA J C Prabhakar Reddy, who was arrested along with his son Asmith Reddy in the transport scam.

Lokesh, who strongly condemned the arrest of Prabhakar Reddy and Asmith Reddy, would also interact with the party leaders in Rayalaseema to see that they organised largescale protests across the region.

Already, the TDP rank and file have come on roads in protest against Prabhakar Reddy’s arrest.
