About Chanakya Awards:

The Chanakya award is conferred to the chosen few from across the country for their selfless service to society. Each year, the jury chooses the best hands that have toiled and soiled themselves to make a difference in society and mankind.

This year PRCI and YCC chose MLA Smt Usha Shricharan for her selfless contribution to the improvement of health and wellness during the pandemic.

She with the guidance of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and her mentor Sri. Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has achieved phenomenal feats while serving her people. Her unwavering spirit and enthusiasm to serve her people ensured she was present with them during crisis situations.

Her people laud her for standing by their side without the fear of her infecting herself or her family. When her family was down with CoVid, she took more care of her people than her family.

This gesture of hers has won many hearts as she selflessly plunged into reaching out to the poorest of the poor families to provide aid during CoVid.

She alongside contributing from her personal funds has been instrumental in generating and mobilising funds to support the daily wage workers during the lockdown. Her thoughtfulness and intention have been respected and supported by the people of her constituency and her supporters have grown leaps and bounds.
