YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who had hitherto been concentrating on attacking his rival Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu at every public meeting, came down heavily on Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday.
Normally, Jagan has been targeting Naidu in his speeches, while referring to Pawan Kalyan indirectly as “datta putrudu” (adopted son). But perhaps for the first time, Jagan specifically attacked Pawan Kalyan with most pungent comments at his Kurupam meeting.
“I cannot degrade myself and speak like Pawan Kal;yan, who says he will disrobe people and skin them. I cannot twirl my moustache. I cannot marry four times and change wives every four years,” Jagan said.
He went on to say: “This man has no control over his tongue and body, nor does he have any stability in politics. This package star climbs atop a truck called Vaarahi, thumps his thighs and uses abusive language at others, saying he will beat them with chappals. Insulting the institution of marriage is his patent,” he said.
Jagan pointed out that the actor-turned politician has been behaving like a possessed person and making cheap, lewd and derogatory comments.
“The foster son of Chandrababu Naidu has got patent for foul month. But I can’t act like him. I can’t indulge in rowdyism nor can I deliver punch dialogues,” he said
Jagan said Pawan Kalyan, who did not question his alliance partner all the five years since 2014, has now embarked on a truck and started reciting the script given by others and the lines were which he failed to ask earlier.
