Cornered from all sides, Chandrababu has been desperately looking for some crowd puller and importing them from outside as he has nothing to tell about his achievements nor he has any moral ground to address the people after failing to fulfilling all election promises, YSR Congress has said and shot the slogan ‘Bye Bye Babu’ likening it to the people’s verdict.
Addressing a string of public meetings across the state, the party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Honorary President YS Vijayamma, Party leader YS Sharmila and YS Bharathi said that Chandrababu has never campaigned any election on his own, he usurped the Party and power from NTR initially, joined with NDA or the Left Parties so that national leaders would come and campaign for him.
With Left and Right going out of his orbit, he had tied up with Congress and we do not know why they are not campaigning jointly after the Telangana debacle and he started importing chief ministers and former chief ministers from other states to escort him on the dais of his own state.
He had tie-up with all the parties while YSRCP had never aligned with any Party and is fighting it alone all the way. He has been propagating that we are with Modi and TRS while it was he who had a four-year honeymoon with BJP and had asked for a possible alliance with TRS when he met TRS leaders at Harikrishna’s funeral.
He is prepared to have tie-up with any party and change colours with amazing quickness but we have morals and we are single and will fight the battle single-handed, they said.
YSRCP leaders carried out their campaign in three layers and had drawn huge round of applause all over. They reminded the people about the poll promises of Chandrababu Naidu and how they were not honoured and how major sections of the people were affected by his cheating. They said about the golden era of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and the Navaratnas promised by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy which would improve the quality of life of all sections of the people.
The theme song of ‘Ravali Jagan, Kavali Jagan’ is the requiem of Chandrababu regime and his slogan of ‘Your future is my responsibility’ was blown away, if the sea of humanity thronging the various venues where the YSRCP leaders were addressing meetings is of any indication.
While Chandrababu Naidu has been dubbed as the richest chief minister in the country, the farmer of state is in the list of most indebted ones in the country.
While Chandrababu Naidu has been growing richer and richer with every passing day, the debts of farmers and women self help groups have doubled. While his wealth has increased manifold and his son Lokesh got a job as MLC and a minister with three portfolios, the youth have no jobs and the contract workers have lost their jobs. The number of unemployed had nearly doubled during the last five years, they said.
We will support only those who assure us Special Category Status (SCS) and welfare is the watchword of YSRCP. TDP has got money, muscle and media power, but we have the power of the people. This is a decisive battle, a battle between credibility and opportunism, righteousness and injustice moral superiority and unholy alliance.
He may be coming with more and more conspiracies, the leaders said, in the coming days and spring many surprises but do not get carried away by the short-term baits of Chandrababu Naidu, be it the Pasupu Kunkuma or other such schemes.
Before 2014 elections as well he has promised to waive loans of farmers and women groups, provide jobs and unemployment stipend, mineral water...the list is more than 650 but he did not promise a single one and deceived all sections of people.
If he is voted to power, the dictatorial attitude would surpass all imagination and we have seen what he done to the promises he made before last elections and how he subverted them. This time, he would be doing nothing different.
Navaratnas were drafted keeping all sections in mind based on the Praja Sankalpa Yatra feedback directly from the people and our family has the record of not going back on poll promises, they said.
