Buzz: Jagan Fires At Some Ministers

There were some fireworks in the Wednesday’s cabinet meeting in Andhra Pradesh.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is reliably took some ministers to task and had issued a serious warning.

Sources say that Jagan Mohan Reddy did not mince words in warning the ministers.

He had reportedly asked them to shape up or ship out, giving way to those who can perform better.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had also tried to make the Ministers understand that winning in the 2024 elections is a team work and not his own labour.

“If you are not winning because of your failure, it will reflect on the party. I can’t accept any defeat for any reason,” Jagan Mohan Reddy had told the ministers.

The chief minister found that some of the ministers were enjoying their cabinet position but not working.

He also took the couple of ministers who visited the temple in Tirupati with a batch of supporters and thus invited criticism from the opposition.

“The yellow party and yellow media are campaigning against us for nothing. By doing these sort of mistakes, you are giving them a chance to criticise us,” the chief minister is understood to have told the ministers.

Sources say that Jagan Mohan Reddy was upset with the poor performance of some of the ministers, who are neither seen working nor heard speaking for the party.

“As ministers, you are the face of the government and the party as well,” the chief minister told the ministers.

It is clear that Jagan Mohan Reddy had already gone into the election mode, while his party leaders, including the ministers are still in celebrations mode!
