It looks like Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is instigating the farmers of Amaravati to go aggressive against the Andhra Pradesh government’s move to shift the administrative capital to Visakhapatnam.
On Saturday, Naidu called upon the farmers to burn the copies of G N Rao committee report and that of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) which had recommended that the state administration be shifted to Visakhapatnam and Amaravati be confined to the legislative assembly activities.
Describing BCG report as a bundle of lies, Naidu sought to know when the BCG was engaged and what its terms of reference were.
“Does it have any head or tail? The group has connections with Rohith Reddy, son-in-law of Jagan’s close aide Vijay Sai Reddy. What is its sanctity?” he asked, while addressing a press conference at Tadepalli.
He said any private consultancy will prepare the report as per the client’s requirements. Even GN Rao committee said it had taken points from CM’s advisor Ajeya Kallam.
“The Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government was pre-determined to change the capital and therefore, the reports of these committees – whether that of GN Rao or BCG – were made in tune with Jagan’s thinking,” he told reporters.
He demanded that the Jagan government unconditionally withdraw the proposal to shift capital from Amaravati and do justice to the farmers of Amaravati.
