Now that the property dispute between YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Y S Sharmila, is no more a secret and has come out in the open for all, every member of the family has started talking about it.
While the letters written by Jagan and Sharmila to each other have already exposed what is going on in the family, others associated with them including Y V Subba Reddy, V Vijay Sai Reddy and Balineni Srinivasa Reddy came out with their own versions.
Sharmila openly addressed a press conference against her brother and made abusive comments against him.
And on Tuesday, her mother Vijayamma came out with an open letter, defending her daughter and declaring that injustice was done to her.
As if it is not enough, Sharmila’s husband and evangelist Brother Anil Kumar, too, came out to attack his brother-in-law Jagan for meting out injustice to her.
In an interview to a YouTube channel, Bro Anil alleged that Jagan had gone to the extent of making wild allegations his own mother and sister for the sake of properties, which is evident from the petition filed in the NCLT dragging Vijayamma.
Anil also explained how Jagan had made every effort to stall Sharmila’s attempt to float a political party in Telangana.
He said after Jagan became the chief minister in 2019, political strategist Prashant Kishor suggested Sharmila to launch a party in Telangana, that would help her a lot politically.
“But Jagan was strongly objected to Sharmila launching a party in Telangana, because he was afraid of then Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He feared that he might have to face troubles from KCR as all his properties are in Hyderabad,” Anil said.
Yet, Sharmila decided to launch the party in Telangana and Jagan had made every attempt to stall her plans.
“When he finally launched the party, he did not even allow her to give an advertisement in Sakshi Telugu daily. Even when Vijayamma announced that she would bear the advertisement expenses, Jagan refused to accept the advertisement,” the evangelist criticised.
Anil alleged that Jagan had made use of Sharmila and him (Anil) during the electioneering in 2019, but after he became the chief minister, he had dropped them like hot potatoes.
