BJP high command angry with Satya?

Bharatiya Janata Party national leadership is learnt to have expressed anger at its national secretary Y Satya Kumar for his unwarranted comments against YSR Congress party with regard to the Presidential elections.

Following directions from the party high command, Union Jal Sakthi minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat issued a statement saying Satya’s comments were his personal and had nothing to do with the party’s stand.

Shekhawat said there was no truth in Satya’s comments that the BJP leadership had never sought any support from the YSRCP in the Presidential elections.

“The party bosses personally held talks with YSRCP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and sought his party’s support to NDA’s presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu,” he said.

The minister said during the filing of nomination papers by the Presidential candidate, YSRC parliamentary party leader had also attended and extended the support on behalf of the party.

It may be mentioned that Satya, on Monday, said the BJP had never sought the support of the YSRCP in the Presidential elections and only the YSRCP leaders are showing overenthusiasm in supporting Murmu.

He said the YSRCP has volunteered to support Murmu and is now trying to gain public sympathy by showing their eagerness to welcome Murmu who was coming to Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. He found fault with the YSRC for using Murmu pictures on party posters and banners.

He said despite Jagan going overboard in supporting Murmu, the BJP leadership would not touch the YSRC with a barge pole. The YSRCP is an untouchable for the BJP and it would not entertain Jagan in any manner, he said.

He alleged that a YSRC leader standing behind the union ministers in the nomination process to create an impression that the YSRC has alliance with the BJP.

“This is nothing but a mind game by the YSRCP leadership,” Satya said.
