BJP Andhra Pradesh state president Somu Veerraju was seen criticizing TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in harsh language.
Veerraju, who was in Ongole on Wednesday, categorically denied the possibility of an alliance between BJP and TDP for the upcoming general election in 2024.
"Naidu compared BJP with NOTA. Why is he now seeking an alliance with BJP?" retorted the BJP state unit president.
He also accused Chandrababu Naidu of rejecting the special category status and instead asking for a special package. Veerraju expressed disbelief at how the same leader could now demand special category status.
The BJP president further stated that Naidu had failed to secure a railway zone for Visakhapatnam and dismissed his claims as mere visions without substance.
He also raised questions about Naidu's credibility in handling law and order issues in Andhra Pradesh, citing the chief minister's ban on the entry of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the state in 2018.
Additionally, Veerraju criticized Chandrababu Naidu for not taking action against TDP leaders who pelted stones at Union Home Minister Amit Shah during a visit to Tirupati in 2019.
Somu Veerraju all but dismissed the possibility of an alliance between BJP and TDP, indicating that the AP BJP leaders still remember the derogatory remarks made by TDP leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu, against BJP leaders.
