Big movie makers are making big mistakes. They assume that small and mid-range films automatically move away from them once they announce their release dates. Consequently, important dates are wasted without a proper movie release.
Big film release dates are announced considering holidays and long weekends, but when the release date approaches, the films are often not ready.
There will be no clarity on whether the movies will release or not. Rumors do surface, but the production houses make no comments or give any clarity, sadistically enjoying the tension of small and mid-range films.
Releasing small and medium-range films incurs significant financial difficulties, which not everyone can manage. Big movies often postpone their release dates at the last minute. At that juncture, even though the small films are ready for release, they don't get sufficient time to release with publicity. Thus, many dates get wasted.
This August 15 is another example of such confusion. There is no clarity on whether Pushpa 2 will release. Rumors suggest it won't, but there's no confirmation from the production unit.
As a result, other filmmakers are unsure whether to release their films during this time. Double iSmart dared to set the same release date, thinking Pushpa 2 would not come.
Had there been better clarity earlier, Nani's Saripodha Sanivaram would have been completed faster and set for release on August 15.
Providing accurate information about release dates at least to the Producers' Guild could prevent such confusion and ensure proper scheduling in Tollywood.
