Ever since the Bhuma couple – Bhuma Shobha Nagi Reddy and Bhuma Nagi Reddy died in a span of three years, their family has been facing a turmoil.
Though their elder daughter Bhuma Akhila Priya became a minister in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet and tried to establish her position, she had to face internal bickering in the party and enter into disputes with family members over the parents’ assets.
After losing the political battle in 2019, Akhila had to face criminal cases including that of abduction and land grabbing in Hyderabad and go to jail. Her husband Bhargav Ram is also facing several police cases.
Now, the latest controversy is about Akhila Priya’s confrontation with her cousin Bhuma Kishore Reddy, who is presently in the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Kishore alleged that Akhila had no respect for her parents, as she had filed a cheating case against them, when they were alive.
He also challenged that Akhila had illegally usurped Nagi Reddy’s properties and challenged that if they were auctioned, he would purchase them.
This resulted in a war of words within the family. Bhuma’s brother Jagat Vikhyat Reddy said he was ready to touch the feet of Kishore if the latter proved that Akhila had filed criminal cases against her parents. Otherwise, Kishore should tender open apology, he demanded.
Ridiculing Kishore’s statement that he would purchase Nagi Reddy’s assets, Jagat Vikhyat Reddy said it was unfortunate that Kishore was trying to use his parents’ name for political gains.
He alleged that Kishore was hand in glove with the YSR Congress party people and was using the Bhuma family’s name for political gains.
“He has joined hands with Gangula family and is trying malign Akhila’s name,” Vikhyat Reddy added.
