Be simple in dressing before meeting Jagan!

Be simple in dressing before meeting Jagan!

Any politician has a unique style of dressing. Most of the political leaders prefer wearing Khadi dressing, some shirt and pants and others long kurtha and dhoti, so that they could be identified as politicians among the people.

However, these days, political leaders, too, have come out of this old-fashioned Khadi dressing but are wearing comfortable dresses. Yet, many of them prefer to wear simple white and white, or white and cream coloured-dresses to maintain the style.

As against this typical white-and-white Khadi uniform, some leaders had their own style.

Take the case of former chief minister N T Rama Rao, who preferred to wear saffron clothes or white lalchi and dhoti during his tenure as a politician. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu too wears typical brownish yellow pants and full-sleeves shirt.

Another former CM Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had a typical attire of a Telugu politician wearing Lalchi and dhoti. Venkaiah Naidu wears white shirt and adda panche (lungi).

And everybody is aware the unique dressing style of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has become a new trend among the people.

But none of these leaders confined the dressing style to themselves and never insisted that the visitors who came to meet them should wear only a particular style of dresses.

Present Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is a different man. He sports a simple attire – a formal white shirt and cream-coloured trousers and doesn’t wear shoes.

What is surprising is that he expects all those who come to meet him should also look simple and formal.

Nobody should wear costly and stylish shoes, sport goggles and wear flowery and odd-looking shirts and trousers. Those who are seen around him also maintain simple and formal attire, because Jagan doesn’t like odd dressing.

At a foundation-stone laying ceremony in Vijayawada recently, it can be seen that all those who were present at the function were sporting very simple dresses, similar to what Jagan was wearing, as if they were wearing the same uniform.

Even those who prefer to be in their jeans and T-shirts or colourful dressing outside should have to change into simple dressing when they go to meet Jagan. Otherwise, they would have to face the wrath of the CM.

Long ago, there were reports that Tollywood hero Rajasekhar went to meet Jagan by wearing T-shirt, jeans and shoes and sporting goggles; and had received a dressing down from Jagan.

The whole concept of Jagan is that one should look as simple as possible, when you are in public life. Good idea no?
