It was only two days ago that senior YSR Congress party leader and Rajya Sabha member Y V Subba Reddy came strongly in support of his nephew and party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy with regard to the latter’s property dispute with sister Y S Sharmila.
Subba Reddy castigated Sharmila for falling into the trap of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and conspiring against her own brother to create legal problems for him, including cancellation of bail.
On Monday, Sharmila got a sort of welcome support from her another uncle and former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy, who happens to be own brother-in-law of Subba Reddy.
Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Balineni said it was unfortunate that the members of the YSR family had taken to streets for properties. He said he had felt bad to see Sharmila breaking down over the dispute.
“It is not good omen for the family, if the daughter of such great leader goes into tears over properties. It is the responsibility of her mother Y S Vijayamma to put an end to the dispute and find an amicable solution,” he said.
Balineni felt that no other person, including YSR Congress party leaders, should involve in the family dispute.
“It is not also correct on the party of the YSRCP to drag TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu into the controversy and blame him for an internal dispute within the YSR family,” he said.
The former minister said as a close relative of the family of YSR, he had always been a well-wisher of the family.
“Irrespective of the party I have been associated with at present, I wish all the best for the YSR family members,” he said.
Reacting strongly to the allegation being made by some YSRCP leaders that he had changed parties after earning huge money when Jagan was in power, Balineni said he had not earned even a single rupee when he was in the YSRCP.
“In fact, I lost my properties when the YSRCP was in power and I swear it on my children. Even Jagan knows about it. When I was in deep debts, I sold the assets my father and my daughter-in-law to clear the loans. This also Jagan knows,” he said.
Balineni said he had faced a lot of troubles when I was in the YSRCP, but I never disclosed them in public.
“I have the integrity and culture. That is why I have not uttered a single word about the humiliation I had faced in the YSRCP,” he added.
