Balayya, not Naidu, to begin NTR birth centenary!

Balayya, not Naidu, to begin NTR birth centenary!

The birth centenary celebrations of legendary Telugu actor and founder-president of Telugu Desam Party N T Rama Rao will begin on May 28.

It is a memorable occasion not just the family members of NTR, but the entire Telugu community across the world.

The celebrations would begin at Nimmakuru, the native village of NTR in Krishna district.

Interestingly, the celebrations would be kick-started by NTR’s son, actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, instead of NTR’s son-in-law and present TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Earlier, there were reports that Naidu would launch the year-long birth centenary celebrations of NTR and bring all his family members on to the single platform to send the message across the state that the entire NTR family is behind him.

But now, it appears Naidu is no way associated with the celebrations being conducted by NTR family. On May 28 morning, all the sons and daughters of NTR would gather to formally begin the celebrations.

In the afternoon, there will be separate programmes at Guntur and Tenali, which were associated with NTR’s life. On both the instances, Balakrishna would be the chief guest.

Massive arrangements are being made for these birth centenary celebrations at Nimmakuru, Guntur and Tenali and thousands of NTR’s fans would be attending the functions. The celebrations would continue all through the year.

And what about Naidu? It is not clear whether he is part of the family programme or not. In any case, the TDP chief would be busy with the party’s biennial conclave Mahanadu to be held at Ongole in Prakasam district on May 27 and 28.

Of course, Naidu would pay homage to NTR at Mahanadu but it is not clear whether he would be attending any of the other programmes.

It would be interesting to see whether there is any invitation for Junior NTR for these programmes.
