The Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh has decided to allocate 15 acres of land to Nandamuri Basavarama Tarakam Cancer Hospital in Amaravati as part of its decision to allot lands to various projects.
A decision to this effect was taken by a cabinet sub-committee headed by state municipal administration and urban development minister Ponguru Narayana in the secretariat on Friday.
The meeting was held regarding land allocations to various organizations in the capital city of Amaravati. Approval was granted for the allocation of 20 acres for the construction of an ESI hospital and a medical college in the capital.
The committee also extended the deadlines for several institutions to which land was previously allocated by the former TDP government, as their earlier time limits had expired.
Key land allocations include: five acres of land for the Central Institute of Tools and Design, 0.8 acres to Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), 15 acres to Basavarama Tarakam Cancer Institute, five acres to L&T Skill Training Institute, and 10 acres to Brahma Kumaris Education Society.
The cabinet subcommittee also approved 25 acres of land previously allocated to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
Minister Narayana stated that 131 individuals were provided land earlier, and new allocations are also being made alongside these.
For those who received allocations earlier, the land is being given at the prices applicable during the initial allocation. A policy on pricing is under preparation, he said.
The minister directed officials to complete all land allocations by the end of next month.
Additionally, he mentioned that tenders for constructing 360 kilometers of trunk roads and other tower buildings would be finalized by the end of December.
