Nandamuri Balakrishna has clinched victory twice as a Member of the Legislative Assembly representing the Hindupur constituency.
Since 1983, the Telugu Desam Party has maintained a stronghold in the constituency, making it a bastion for the party. It comes as no surprise that Nandamuri Balakrishna is aiming for a hat-trick of victories.
However, he is apprehensive that the ruling YSR Congress Party has devised a strategy to defeat him and thwart his quest for a hat-trick victory.
Currently, Balakrishna is concentrating his efforts on his constituency. Unlike before, he is undertaking assertive canvassing initiatives.
He has also suspended movie shootings. Although he is currently filming under the direction of Bobby, production has been halted.
There is speculation that he will refrain from returning to the sets until after the elections conclude.
For the first time, Balakrishna is facing stiff competition in a constituency that has long been a stronghold for the TDP.
