TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is trying to impress PM Narendra Modi for a long time and it is an open secret. Surprisingly, he is not receiving the same reciprocation from the other end. Contrary to his expectations, he is receiving negative reactions from BJP leaders.
The reason is simple. There is a popular saying 'Ati vinayam dhoorta lakshanam' (Over the top humility is the quality of a bad guy) that is known to everybody including the BJP leaders.
Chandrababu Naidu achieved the image of a backstabber long time ago when people were not even dreamt of OTTs and ATTs. But Narendra Modi appeared to have believed him thinking that the 'backstabbing episode' happened for Babu's survival and it would not repeat again.
Even Chandrababu acted as a friend to him for 4 and half years of ruling but turned against him 6 months before the elections. That was nothing but another backstabbing episode and Modi was thoroughly upset with it. That's the reason why he had mentioned about Babu in the election meeting that 'Chandrababu backstabbed his father-in-law NT Ramarao'.
When such a backstabber and bad guy is showing humility now, it is nothing but Ati Vinayam. There is no doubt about it. The same thing happened when Chandrababu wrote a letter praising PM Narendra Modi recently. But the situation is getting backfired now. Though the main man PM Modi is silent, the local BJP leaders are bombarding Chandrababu with their comments.
AP BJP Vice President Vishnu Vardhan Reddy has fired on Chandrababu and reminded his criticism on Modi during the last general elections. He has shared the paper clippings of his Chandrababu's negative comments against Modi.
He has literally fired on Chandrababu reminding his comments on Modi during March 2018 to April 2019. He said that people didn't forget his cheap criticism.
He questioned that Chandrababu will remain in history as a failed leader for making Amaravati a scapegoat for his own benefits. He said that Modi and BJP will not forget his criticism and he fired on him that it is a habit for Babu to praise people based on his needs.
The TDP cadre is also humiliated with this kind of attack from BJP leaders. They are feeling insulted as their chief is severely scolded by BJP leaders seven though he is showering praises on PM Modi.
