Avinash Reddy PA's bail petition dismissed

Taking serious note of the abusive and defamatory content on social media by the alleged members of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), a Kadapa court on Thursday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea filed by Raghava Reddy, personal assistant to YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy, in a case linked to objectionable social media posts.

Raghava Reddy has been accused of orchestrating abusive social media posts against prominent individuals, including YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister Y S Sharmila, cousin N Sunitha and his mother Vijayamma.

These allegations surfaced following a statement from Varra Ravindra Reddy, a YSRCP social media worker who was previously arrested.

Ravindra Reddy reportedly told police that he posted the controversial content at the behest of Raghava Reddy.

The police have issued a search warrant for Raghava Reddy and also served him notices under Section 41A of the CrPC more than three weeks ago.

They revealed that they have secured the necessary permissions to conduct searches at Raghava Reddy’s residence at any time.

But Raghava Reddy has been absconding since then, while the police have intensified their search operations, focusing on his hometown Ambakapalle and surrounding areas, including Pulivendula and Lingala Mandal.

The police posted notices at his residence in Ambakapalle, urging him to cooperate. Authorities have maintained surveillance across key locations, aiming to locate and apprehend him soon.
