Former minister and TDP MLA K Atchen Naidu was arrested from his house yesterday.
The police have overestimated this TDP leader and came prepared reasonably. They have also brought some forces to control if the mobs resist the arrest.
But everything happened in pin drop silence.
Atchen Naidu has tried to create some drama without opening the main gate at the time of arrest. He might have expected that it would draw people's attention so that he may get some support from them. But nothing of that sort has happened. He was taken into custody after some cops went into his house climbing the wall.
Forget about the citizens of his constituency, not even the people in his street shouted at least a slogan against the arrest. They stood silently implying that whatever has to be happened is happening.
To look at it in different perspective, the people these days are not emotional. They have their own headaches and not bothered about someone's problem. Moreover they don't show any sympathy when a politician is being arrested due to their preconceived notions.
Expecting slogans from the public (when they are not paid) like in Gandhian era may be wrong now.
