As Jagan skips assembly, he becomes target on Day-2

As announced, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy stayed away from the Assembly proceedings on Day 2, along with his party MLAs, even as the House began discussions on the motion thanking the Governor for his speech.

His absence provided an opportunity for the ruling coalition leaders to target him.

Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu expressed strong displeasure over the events in the Assembly the previous day, particularly the conduct of YSRCP members during the Governor’s address.

The Speaker criticized Jagan, stating that as a former Chief Minister, his behavior was inappropriate.

He remarked that instead of controlling his party members, Jagan was seen laughing and sitting comfortably during the Governor’s speech.

He firmly stated that such incidents would not be allowed to happen again and advised Jagan to act with maturity in the future.

Meanwhile, Nandikotkur MLA Jayasurya lodged a complaint regarding a news article published in Sakshi newspaper, which claimed that crores of rupees were wasted without providing training to MLAs.

Responding to the MLA’s demand for disciplinary action against Sakshi media, the Speaker decided to issue a privilege notice against them.
