Appalaraju Fighting Alone With No Party Support

The YCP has strong leaders in Srikakulam district, but they are currently silent. As the party suffered a significant defeat, its leaders are struggling to come to terms with it. The role of the opposition for the next five years has been difficult for them to accept.

All those who once claimed to be prominent leaders are now quiet. Seediri Appalaraju, a young leader from Palasa who has been with the YCP since its inception and served as a minister for four years, is one of the few who is speaking out against the coalition government.

Appalaraju was given a ticket in the 2019 election for proving his capabilities by walking alongside Jagan Mohan Reddy during his 2017 Padayatra, and he was immediately made a minister, solidifying his position as a strong YCP leader.

But, YCP leaders claim that TDP MLA Gautu Sirisha, who defeated Seediri Appalaraju with a significant majority, is engaging in revenge politics against him.

Two cases have already been filed against Seediri Appalaraju, and his followers are also facing legal actions. There are even reports that plans are being made to arrest the former minister as part of a larger strategy.

Despite all this, Appalaraju is fighting alone, and his followers are expressing concern over the lack of support from the YCP.
