AP to present full budget only after two months!

The Telugu Desam Party government in Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will present a full-fledged budget in the assembly only after two months, as it is yet to make an assessment of the state’s financial position which is in shambles.

Naidu told the state assembly on Tuesday that his government was not able to present the full budget but is going in for vote-on-account budget again, only because of the crippled financial position.

“We are forced to go in for only vote-on-account budget as the state is yet to make an assessment of revenue and expenditure completely. We shall take another two-months’ time to introduce a full-fledged budget,” he said.

The chief minister said the state government has a long way to go rebuild Andhra Pradesh, which was completely destroyed in the last five years.

“We are going to introduce three more white papers in the assembly to explain the state of affairs in the state to the people,” he said.

He alleged that the state’s economy had collapsed in the last five years of YSR Congress party regime and the state’s natural resources were plundered.

“The YSRCP leaders looted lakhs of crores of rupees through sand and liquor mafia. The development of the state had come to a standstill due to the lopsided policies of the state,” he said.

“We shall rebuild the state brick by brick and fulfil the aspirations of the people who reposed a lot of faith on the alliance,” Naidu added.
