AP Ranks#2 In India: Rs 29,784 Cr New Investments

Not much is published about the development activities going on in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

It has been appearing as if the government is focussing only on the welfare schemes and implementation of Navaratnas but not on the development and investments.

But much to the surprise of many, Andhra Pradesh stood in second place in the nation to get the highest investments in the year 2020 between October and December.

Maharashtra was in place#1 pulling Rs 54,714 Cr investments while AP is the second place with Rs 29,784 Cr. Surprisingly Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Odisha are behind AP.

It is needless to say that Maharashtra with the commercial capital Mumbai in it, always has the edge to pull investments. It is not a big deal for Gujarat to attract investors with commercial hubs like Ahmedabad and Surat. Tamilnadu with metro capital Chennai can also grab its share easily.

But Andhra Pradesh, with no clarity about the Capital and with no big business hubs other than Vizag could pull an investments of Rs 29, 784 Cr only due to the ease in doing business and government policies.

What surprises is that the government is not boasting about these achievements in the way it should.

As a continuation to this, AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is ranked No#3 in the list of best CMs, in a survey conducted by ABP C Voter.
