AP HC To Hear Galla Foods Case On Sept 14

The AP High Court would start hearing a case from September 14, filed against the Galla Foods, which is owned by TDP Guntur MP Galla Jayadev.

It is alleged that the state government had allocated 28 acres of land at Tenapalli and Peta Agraharam villages of Putalapattu mandal in Chittoor district.

The land was given to the firm in 2011 on the promise that the firm would develop a research and development unit in food sector.

However, the firm had not constructed any unit on the given land and thus it should surrender the land or the government should cancel the allocation.

A resident of Nallagattupalli village of Putalapattu mandal in Chittoor district, Gali Purushothama Naidu, filed the case seeking HC direction to the state to take over the land.

The court had issued directions to the APIIC, Galla Foods and industries secretary seeking their reply and had posted the case to September 14.

The petitioner Purushothama Naidu alleged that the Galla Foods had failed to establish the Research and Development unit on the land in the past 10 years.

It is now to be seen what the state government would say and what the Galla family would respond as the case is now reached the doors of the high court.
