Andhra Pradesh energy secretary Nagulapalli Srikanth on Tuesday said that the government would sue Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi dailies for repeatedly publishing wrong and misleading reports on power sector.
The energy secretary said that these papers were repeatedly presenting false reports to mislead people on the power supply.
He said that the government had clarified the issue repeatedly but regretted that these media houses were carrying false reports intentionally.
He further said that the government would file defamation case against these newspapers for spreading false information to malign the image of the government.
The energy secretary further said that they were supplying 24 hours power supply to the customers and 9 hours quality power to the farmers.
He said that the newspapers were neither accepting the facts from the government nor verifying the facts.
Srikanth cautioned the media houses against defamation cases if they carried false news and refuse to take the facts from the government.
