Andhra Talk: 'Cadre Upset With Lokesh's Behavior'

Lokesh's speech in 'padayatra' is not just confined to mispronounced words but also some vulgar overtones. The latest talk is about his comments on Minister Roja and her retorts.

When asked some people in AP irrespective of parties and backgrounds to comment on the episode, we got several opinions.

Here are a few.

"When you cannot speak well and articulate things effectively and entertainingly, you are not supposed to show off your audacity. Rather you need to be simple and humble. Lokesh fails to understands this. He feels like imitating the rough tongues like Kodali Nani and Perni Nani in speech. That doesn't suit to his cutout", said a general stores shopkeeper from Gudivada.

"What's wrong in using vulgar language? Days have changed. Nobody takes a decent man seriously. Had Chandrababu garu born later, he too would have talked like Lokesh. Everything is 'give and take' here. Don't forget what kind of words YCP leaders use on Chandrababu. As his loyal son Lokesh is giving tight slaps for all", said a TDP flag bearer in Yuvagalam.

"Chandrababu is known for telling lies throughout his career, but he never spoke in a vulgar way. Jagan Mohan Reddy says anything with a loud voice and always stays away from vulgarity in speech. Not using vulgar language is the basic demeanor to be followed by any party head. But Pawan, a party head on one side and Lokesh, the young party lead on teh other side are known only for using vulgar words. The result of Lokesh calling Roja with demeaning language doesn't reach his aimed target but boomerangs badly", said an auto driver named Ramana from Vijayawada.

"When Kodali speaks filthy language, Lokesh also should speak. Lokesh is not party head. We tell him to maintain decency when he becomes the party head. Until then no problem. He can speak out of his heart", said a TDP activist.

"Lokesh should leave the use of filthy language to the people like Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy. But he should not speak. We are really feeling upset with the way our young leader is approaching. Either he was poorly trained or he must be a poor learner", said a TDP flag bearer who is part of Lokesh's padayatra.

"Lokesh making vulgar signs by swinging his fist indicating sexual intercourse is highly objectionable. This speaks about his standard of mind. Being a party head, he should mend his ways but shouldn't behave like his father in law's characters in films", said a journalist from a pro-TDP daily.

"On a whole, Lokesh padayatra is a big damage for the party than anything else. It is ok when it is zero, but it's in minus track now. I cannot say anything more than this", said a Janasena party member in Kakinada.

Thus, Lokesh's language attracted a mixture of different opinions. In fact, we got  the opinions either 'for' or 'against' but nothing 'neutral'.
