Andhra Pradesh SIPB approves 8 projects

Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has instructed officials to strictly enforce the specially enacted law that provides 75 percent of jobs to locals in both private and government-sponsored industries in the state.

Presiding over the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting at the Camp Office on Tuesday, the Chief Minister stated that District Collectors should monitor the implementation of the Act and submit reports every six months.

"We are providing land and other facilities to new industries with the condition of giving 75 percent of the jobs to locals to avoid opposition from the local people," he said, urging officials to ensure that the Act is implemented effectively in all industries.

The support of locals is crucial for the smooth and efficient functioning of these industries, and the officials should keep this in mind.
