Andhra Pradesh minister Ambati Rambabu has threatened to take harsh action against Tollywood filmmakers if they continue to use films to defame the Andhra Pradesh government and its ministers.
He singled out writer-director Trivikram for an episode in the recently released "Bro" film.
"Bro" featured a scene in which Prudhvi played the role of Shyam Babu, who resembled Ambati, and there are dialogues against him and the government.
Despite the dialogues being sly in nature, Ambati claims to know who is behind these tactics.
"If they have the guts, they can make direct political films. Why use sly remarks? Why name Shyam Babu when you can name Rambabu directly if you have the guts," he slammed Trivikram.
Ambati also warned the writers, directors, producers, and actors that if they used such tactics again, they would be taught a lesson.
