The Amaravati farmers have started their second leg of padayatra on Monday. The yatra would be until Arasavalli temple in Srikakulam district.
The farmers have been widely campaigning that they have voluntarily given their lands to the government for capital building.
But, the fact is that they are getting annuity every year and plots in commercial and residential areas in return to their lands.
Besides this, the fact is that almost 99 per cent of these farmers have sold a lion’s share of their lands as the rates went up as high as Rs 5 crore an acre.
By selling the lands, some of them built posh houses, bought cars and gold, and went around global tour.
The richness was openly displayed in the villages and it is visible even now in those villages. This is known to everyone in the state.
However, the big question is where are those buyers, who paid a few crore of rupees to the Amaravati farmers and bought those lands?
Those buyers have registered the lands and paid the money too, to the farmers.
But, they remained behind the scene and have given the lands in the name of sellers (farmers in this case) to the CRDA in land pooling.
The sellers (farmers) have paid the annuity to the buyers and have handed over the commercial and residential plots given to them by the CRDA to those buyers.
These are all secret understandings between the farmers and the buyers, which is an open secret in the 29 villages of Amaravati.
The question is where are these buyers? Why is no one talking about these buyers? Why are these buyers hiding behind?
Can anyone who supports the Amaravati movement explain it or justify this?
