As the Telugu Desam Party-led coalition government prepares to present its first full-fledged annual budget for 2025-26 on Friday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is strategizing to widely publicize allocations for previously unfulfilled promises.
According to government reports, Finance Minister Payyavula Kesav, who will present the budget in the Assembly, will announce allocations for the much-publicized "Super Six" welfare schemes, which were key promises during the election campaign.
The government has already initiated steps to implement the "Thalli Ki Vandanam" scheme and the three-phase "Annadata Sukhibhava" program, which is set to begin in May. The budget is expected to provide funding for these initiatives.
Following the budget presentation, Naidu has scheduled a key meeting with party leaders, including MPs, MLAs, and MLCs, at the Assembly Committee Hall to discuss the latest political developments, shifting alliances, and the party's future course of action.
The meeting will introduce a new action plan to ensure that welfare scheme allocations are effectively communicated to the public.
Naidu will also outline the coalition government’s achievements over the past nine months and explain the objectives of the budget.
Despite financial constraints, Naidu will reaffirm the government’s commitment to welfare programs and provide guidance to party leaders on how to engage with the public regarding these initiatives.
He is also expected to address recent political developments and the challenges faced by the government, while clarifying the coordination strategy between the government and the party.
Additionally, Naidu will offer guidance on grassroots-level coordination among the three coalition partners to strengthen their political presence.
With MPs also invited to this special meeting, there is growing anticipation within the party about the key decisions that will be made.
