Amidst intense speculation over the rumblings in the Telugu Desam Party-led coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, Jana Sena Party chief and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan on Thursday clarified that there is absolutely no issues within the coalition.
“All the three parties in the coalition in Andhra Pradesh are absolutely working in tandem with perfect coordination. There are absolutely no issues among the alliance partners,” the deputy chief minister said, in an informal interaction with the media in New Delhi.
Referring to the speculations over his conspicuous absence at the meetings convened by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, including the cabinet meeting, Pawan Kalyan said he could not attend some meetings only due to severe back pain.
“I am still suffering from back pain and it is still troubling me severely. I am taking treatment for the same. I shall get back to active work shortly,” Pawan Kalyan clarified.
He asserted that the coalition government was committed to implementing all its pre-election promises and has been fulfilling the promises one after the other. There is no question of going back on our commitment, he said.
“The previous government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has pushed the state into a debt trap. Because of this situation, there are certain financial constraints,” he said.
On the possibility of change of his portfolio, Pawan Kalyan said the subjects of environment and forests were his favourite and he was performing his duties with utmost commitment and dedication.
