If speculations doing round in a section of social media, Telugu film comedian Ali is once again looking for yet another political somersault.
It was only 10 days ago that Ali joined the YSR Congress party “unconditionally” in the presence of party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at the latter’s Lotus Pond residence.
He told media later that he might not contest the elections and would campaign for the party.
Ali went on to say that Jagan had given him specific assurances on his political career, but he did not elaborate what assurance he had got from the party president. He only said he would accept whatever that come his way.
But according to the latest speculations, Ali has sent feelers to Jana Sena Party president and his godfather in Telugu film industry Pawan Kalyan that he was willing to join the Jana Sena, if he was given the assembly ticket.
He reportedly had a telephonic talk with Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday and discussed the possibilities of getting a party ticket.
However, the JSP chief reportedly told him that it was too late for him to ask for the ticket and that he would have given the ticket had Ali approached him a week ago.
But, Ali did not lose hope. He reportedly got in touch with Pawan’s elder brother and actor Naga Babu and requested him to lobby for a party ticket for him. It is not yet clear whether Pawan has changed his mind or not.
Apparently, Ali expected that Jagan would give him party ticket in the last moment. But, the YSRC chief went strictly by surveys and rewarded only hard working leaders, rather than last-minute turncoats.
