YSR Congress party has expressed surprise over the medical reports given by the doctors from Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) in Hyderabad on the health condition of Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
YSRC general secretary and advisor (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy wondered whether the medical reports were prepared by real or managed.
“They appear to have been prepared by some political doctors and not medical practitioners,” he alleged.
Speaking to reporters, Sajjala said going by the alarming health condition of Naidu mentioned in the medical reports, he should have been bed-ridden by now.
“On one hand, the TDP leaders claim that Naidu is young at heart and is full of energy. But the medical reports say his health is precarious. Which is correct?” he asked.
The YSRCP leader sought to know whether any doctor would suggest that an ambulance be made available round the clock.
“He is a prisoner and is above 70 years. Any person will have some or the other health issues. Will the same facilities be available for other prisoners of his age as well?” he asked.
He asked how the doctors could suspect that Naidu has the possibility of getting cancer without even conducting the tests. This is ridiculous and is meant for cheating the courts, he said.
He alleged that these “managed medical reports” exposed the exceptional qualities of Naidu in managing the institutions.
Sajjala also took pot shots at Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan stating that he was doing multiple “kapurams” with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh and BJP in Telangana.
“He is in alliance with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh, but contesting the assembly elections in Telangana along with the BJP. How is it possible for a political party?” he asked.
He said Naidu and Pawan had no political ethics.
“They, along with BJP State president Daggubati Purandeswari, are working in tandem to defeat the YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh,” he added.
